Gain hands-on experience with IBM Db2 AI for z/OS, a powerful new offering built on IBM Watson Machine Learning for z/OS. Learn how Db2 AI can:
  1. Optimize SQL statements
  2. Provide Db2 system assessments with expert guidance for tuning your subsystem
  3. Utilize the Distributed Connection Controller to analyze remote workload traffic and generate Db2 profiles for monitoring and controlling remote connection access based on location, user ID, and application name
  4. Monitor system performance using a new performance insight visualization dashboard.

This lab uses real-world data and realistic Db2 workloads to demonstrate how each capability works in practice, with step-by-step explanations of the underlying functions and how to interpret the results. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of how Db2 AI delivers actionable insights directly within the Db2 for z/OS environment.
