This session introduces the new Db2 Developer VS Code Extension and provides an update on IBM Db2 Bridge, IBM's data movement and migration solution designed to simplify and accelerate database modernization. We'll cover what Db2 Bridge is, the problems it solves, and where it fits within the broader Db2 portfolio, along with an overview of the VS Code Extension's key features and intended use cases. Built for developers, the VS Code Extension brings Db2 capabilities directly into Visual Studio Code, enabling a more efficient, intuitive, and integrated workflow. The session will also highlight recent enhancements and supported use cases for Db2 Bridge, including how it enables efficient and reliable data and schema movement across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.

Attendees will learn how these capabilities help developers interact with Db2 more productively using a familiar IDE, while also gaining a forward-looking view of the Db2 Bridge roadmap and how it supports customer migration and adoption journeys.
